So, what are you doing for Valentine’s Day?

Here’s a quick update of events happening on campus Saturday, Feb. 14:

5:00 PM – Music concert held in Mago Hunt Recital Hall. The Marine Band of San Diego Jazz Combo will be visiting to   perform. The concert is open to all students and the public with free entrance fee.

 7:00 PM – There will be a Men’s Basketball vs. LMU Chiles Center Arena.

10:00 PM – Pilots After Dark Student Group Event. This week will be specifically themed: “game for singles, by singles.” Come to the Cove, inside the Pilot House, where the Christie Crush dating game event will take place.

The annual Valentine’s party game is back. For those who don’t know about this yearly event: “Christie Crush is an event hosted by Christie Hall Council and Pilots After Dark in celebration of Valentines Day – it’s a combination of The Dating Game* and The Newly Weds Game*,” says Tyler Zimmerman, Weekend and Late Night Program Coordinator, “There will be an emcee with prizes for the winners and a magician will show up.”

Valentine’s Day is the time to be with those you care about, whether it’s with your group of friends or significant other. No matter what type of event you’re interested in, the University of Portland has some exciting options for all looking to get out and have a good time.

*Dating Game: classic gameshow where contestants compete for the affection of another by answering questions from behind a curtain

*The Newly Weds Game: where couple must know their partner by answering personal questions about the partner’s significant other
